LOW BLOOD SUGAR (HYPOGLYCEMIA)

What are the signs?

  • Shaking (early sign)

  • Sweating

  • Paleness

  • Weakness

  • Headache

  • Enlarged pupils or impaired vision

  • Difficulty communicating or processing new information

  • Dizziness

  • Agitation

 

 

What to do? 

  • Keep a source of quick sugar (e.g. candy bar, orange juice, etc.) handy.

  • Eat and/or drink as soon as you feel symptoms begin.

  • Sit down immediately if you feel weak or dizzy, to prevent falls.
