What are the signs?

Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath

Persistent pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen

Persistent dizziness, confusion, inability to arouse

Fever or cough that improve but then return or worsen

How can you prevent it?

Stay up-to-date on your flu and pneumococcal vaccinations.

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Stay home when you are sick.

Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.

Wash your hands with soap and water regularly for at least 20 seconds.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
